The Manifestation

We are not a traditional church. I grew up in traditional churches and there was no relationship with Jesus in these churches. One of the reasons we go back to read and study the writings of the Ante Nicene Fathers is because they understood what the end times would be like as taught by the apostles. These men didn’t teach that we’d fly away. In fact, they all taught that Christ would manifest in His people at the end of the age.

Scripture says that it has not been made manifest what we shall be like (1 John 3:2). The apostles did not know what it would look like to be in the glory. What they did know is that when Jesus manifests, then we shall be like Him. The book of Revelation starts with “this is the revelation of Jesus Christ.” The apocalypse is not about the end of the world - it is about revealing how we are going to come into the glory to look like Him. The term “manifestation” is similar to the Greek word apocalypse.

Revelation, or the term apocalypse, speaks about something that is hidden but has not been revealed. However, there is another word for revelation, also known as manifestation, and that word is “phaneroo.” Phaneroo refers to something that is made known by teaching - it is no longer veiled but has been revealed. When a person gets a revelation as they’re being taught, it is a Kairos moment. It also speaks of illumination, or to shine forth. The early church taught that everything would go into darkness but then God would step in and phaneroo the light of His glory through His people.

God uses His apostles to manifest what He wants to do on the earth. Every time God uses a person they go through intense trials and tribulations. They are humbled and purified through that process. God humbled Joseph before He used Joseph to rule Egypt and save Israel. We can see the same process with Moses and David. Paul said that even though we go through various trials and tribulations we have a hope of glory. The hope Paul is talking about is a confident expectation of something that you understand. You cannot have hope in something you don’t see or understand.

Those who are in expectation of the coming glory are those who purify themselves. We have to press in to get rid of all sin. Jesus said that the seed (sperma/sperm) is the Word that will impregnate you with God’s divine nature. The proof that you abide in God is you are without sin. John said that those who sin have neither seen nor have known God (1 John 3:6). Right now, if you’re living in sin, you are of your father the devil. Our actions, our thoughts, our words make manifest who our father is.

There is no middle ground. This is why in the early church they were violent with their purification process. In the Gospel of Luke when Jesus walked with His disciples after the resurrection, it says that He opened their minds to the scriptures. This actually means “to open a womb.” When your mind is open to the revelation, you are in a birthing process. Your mind is what controls your muscles, your body, your actions. You have something called muscle memory. When athletes play sports, they have been conditioned by repetition so when they react it comes naturally to them - their muscles respond the way they have practiced. So when the Word of God impregnates your mind and you practice righteousness it will help you give birth to what God wants to do through you.

Right now, you’re in the birth canal and God is getting ready to birth something through you. This process does not happen overnight, but right now the Lord is looking for obedience. We need to protect what God has given us. I’ve seen people make mistakes that have taken them years to recover from and we don’t have that kind of time. Let’s remember that love is obedience (John 14:15). Love is laying down your life for your brother. We have to be at the place to have no aughts with anyone. In the past, I was held back because of an aught that I had with another pastor who stole tens of thousands of dollars from me. God told me that if I didn’t forgive him, he would go to hell. I forgave him instantly because I’ve seen hell, and I don’t want anyone to go there. If we really love our brothers, we have to be patient and let things go instead of holding an aught.

Barnabas wrote that the true Sabbath is the millennial kingdom. He taught that a day is equal to a thousand years and a thousand years is equal to a day to the Lord, so the Sabbath rest is the millennial rule and reign of Christ. He said we are the ones who sanctify the day with clean hands and a pure heart. We have to walk in a lifestyle of holiness in order to be a part of that millennial kingdom. Saints, it’s time to get cleaned up. Amen.

Sincerely,

Apostle Michael Petro
