Who Are the 144,000? (Pt. 2)

The only person who can stop you from getting healed and coming into God’s call on your life is you. We have a choice to make to either change or stay in our old ways. My Pentecostal upbringing had me thinking that God was going to do it all for me, but the Word of God says blessed is he who overcomes. So as we overcome old ways of thinking, the Lord is blessing us.

God expects us to work out our own salvation with fear and trembling (Php. 2:12). If you feel like you just can’t break through to the next level and you don’t want to go on anymore to the point of quitting, there will be an open door for demons to come into your life. Those demons look to prey on those who decide they don’t want to change; they don’t want to grow in Christ any longer.

God is looking for those who are the fighters. The prophet David was a fighter. Not only did he fight but he taught others to fight, too. You are not just fighting for your own soul and transformation but for others. The Word calls us a royal priesthood. The high priesthood doesn’t walk around defeated; they walk in authority as overcomers.

I recently spoke with a ranch owner in Texas named Mike Miller, who is a veteran and the founder of Warriors for Ranchers, and he told me about what he has seen living right on the border of Mexico and Texas. He has personally found kids who have been raped and killed. Illegal immigration is such a massive income for cartels that they actually make more money from human trafficking than they do from drugs.

When cartels bring people in across the border those people have to pay the cartel off. The way they pay them off is being sold into the sex trade, but the debt is never really paid. The cartels lie to those poor women and children, making them believe that it is only temporary, when in fact they are in debt to them for the rest of their lives. What’s happening at the border is not about letting people in - it is about stopping the human trafficking that the cartels are using to exploit others.

There needs to be a fight in us for this. The Lord is looking for people to rise up to fight for those kids, for those women. If you can’t fight for your own soul then what makes you think that you will fight for others? It is not about us - it was never about us. Our lives are not our own.

God is looking for a remnant that is not afraid to confront the enemy. We have to press into God to manifest His glory. If you have one person walking in the glory of God, no Antichrist, no army, and no cartel member will even be a threat. When a battalion of soldiers came to get Elijah all he did was call fire from heaven. It wasn’t until the third captain came that he humbled himself before the prophet.

We should not have a fear of what is coming. This war that is going to take place is not for the faint of heart. I am looking for those who are going to fight alongside me, who will have no fear. If you are afraid to die, then your soul is not ready. The early church was ready to die for the faith. They knew that at any moment their lives could be taken, and they lived everyday as if it were their last.

We need to live our lives that same way. There should be no fear of death. It starts with a death to self, dying to what we want, our desires. When we just pray and ask the Lord what He wants, what He desires, then we’re on the right track. Saints, we need to live like there is no tomorrow. There isn’t a moment to lose. Amen.

Sincerely,

Apostle Michael Petro
