Mysteries

We are in a season of wisdom right now. The true prophets are here to reveal what Scripture is saying to show us what God is about to do. It is the office of the Apostle to manifest the Lord’s will in the Earth through a release of the prophetic. What’s scary is most denominations don’t believe in apostles or prophets. As the seventh trumpet of the book of Revelation is declaring the mystery of God, they will not be able to hear it, because they do not believe in the prophets. The trumpets are the prophets speaking.

The Lord likens the end to ten virgins with lamps (Matt. 25). Revelations 1:20 says that the church is the Menorah. The oil is the divine teaching of the Holy Spirit, which are the mysteries of the kingdom. This happens in the middle of the night - the Lord is looking for those who are keeping watch. To keep watch means you are awake to spiritual truth and are giving strict attention to what God is doing. In the parable of the virgins, it is said that they are all asleep. This is not the world that is to blame. It is the church that’s asleep; it’s the church that was supposed to be betrothed to Jesus. The only one who is awake at the end of the age is the voice crying out, “Wake up, the Bridegroom is coming!” (Matt. 25:6). If no one knows the day or the hour, how did the wise virgins know it was time to go out and meet the bridegroom?

The foolish virgins are those who do not know the mysteries of the kingdom. The Greek word for fool, “moros,” comes from the word “musterion,” which is the Greek word for mystery. The mystery speaks of the hidden or mystic sense. This may be hard for some people to receive because of the terminology but that is how all the major Bible dictionaries define it  (BDB, Strongs, Faussets). The foolish virgins are those in the church who did not fill themselves up with mysteries of the kingdom that Jesus taught. Once the foolish realized they had missed it, the foolish begged the wise for their oil. I believe something is going to happen that is so extraordinary that it is going to make the foolish virgins desperate to get the oil. The wise said to the foolish that they had to go buy the oil. It is not free. What makes us think that we’re just going to get everything for free?

We also see this in the parable of the talents where Jesus comes back expecting us to have multiplied what we’ve been given. He is not speaking of multiplying finances - He’s speaking of multiplying the mystery of the kingdom through giving it to others so that His seed Word can grow in them too. Jesus said you must forsake all to come after Him (Luke 14:33). The Early Church sold their homes and possessions and threw the money at the feet of the apostles. Those men and women of God understood what it meant to leave all.

We need to remember that salvation is not free; it will cost you everything. Sin is ignorance of the truth, which is spiritual debt. The only way to pay off debt is with money. True wealth is the mystery of the kingdom, and we can only purchase it with our time. It all comes down to how much value we place on the Word. If we don’t have much time, we won’t have much oil at the end of the age. This is why we need to make sure we prioritize our time to buy the oil. The Early Church taught that the oil merchants are the apostles and prophets who reveal the mysteries of the kingdom.  Apostle Paul taught that the Holy Spirit reveals the mystery of Christ to His holy apostles and prophets (Eph. 3:5). The apostles and prophets hold the mantle to teach the body of Christ what the Holy Spirit has revealed to them.

According to Temple tradition, the High Priest was known as the “thief in the night” who would patrol the temple at night to catch those who were asleep. If any priest was found asleep during the night watch, the high priest would come and take a coal from the golden altar and light their garment on fire. Our true High Priest, Jesus, is coming as a thief to those in the church who are asleep to spiritual truth, not knowing the day or hour He is coming. Paul tells the Thessalonian church that they are children of the day perfectly knowing the day of the Lord (1 Thes. 5:2). Those who are awake to spiritual truth are those who know what time it is and will be found awake, or children of the day, at the second coming of our Lord.

The signs are all here. Just recently, a sign appeared on the East Gate of Jerusalem. It is prophesied in Ezekiel 44 that when the Messiah returns, He will come through the East Gate. The name of the LORD is starting to appear on the wall of the East Gate for all to see. The first three letters have appeared on the wall and the fourth letter is now forming. That mystery is a sign that the LORD is getting ready to seal His remnant, the 144,000, as prophesied in Revelations 14. God is choosing His remnant and is getting ready to seal them for the end. There is only one letter left, which shows us how close we really are to the end. There are no second chances for those who miss it. We are in the time of the Feasts of the Lord and He is going to bring a big shift. Buy the oil and get your heart right with the Lord while you still can. Amen.

Sincerely,

Apostle Michael Petro
